KAUTE Foundation Fellowship – California Institute of Technology

Founded in 1891, the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) is one of the world’s leading technical universities. Located in Pasadena, California, the university is renowned for its top-tier research and education in the fileds of natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics.

Caltech’s campus is small but close-knit, with approximately 1,000 undergraduate students and 1,300 graduate students. The university collaborates closely with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, offering students opportunities to engage in space exploration and technology development.

Each year, 200-250 students are admitted to Caltech’s PhD programs. The KAUTE Foundation Fellowship provides funding for one individual at a time.

Application requirements

The applicant must have a Master’s degree from a Finnish university and they also have to fulfill the application criteria specified by Wharton Business School.

Application process

Prospective students must first submit an application for Caltech’s doctoral program. For those who consider applying, we kindly request that you contact us in advance via email or by phone and express your intent to apply. The KAUTE Foundation gives Caltech a statement about the applicants eligibility for the scholarship. For the statement, applicants should send us a transcript of study records, a statement from a professor who knows the applicant and a motivation letter.

Application period

The application period for Caltech opens on October 15, 2024, and closes, depending on the program, on either December 1 or December 15. The exact deadline varies by degree program. Applicants should allow ample time to request recommendation letters and complete the GRE and language proficiency tests.
