KAUTE Foundation’s spring 2024 grant application round, which closed at the end of January, received 391 applications in total. The total value of the applied grants reached 7,7 million euros. Grant decisions will be announced in May.
Consistent with previous years, the applications were quite evenly distributed between the branches of science: 183 applications came from business sciences, 175 from technical sciences and 33 applications from other fields of science. Total number of applications declined slightly, as travel grants were no longer available in this grant call. Grants for longer research visits will be available in March–April through the Tutkijat maailmalle (Researchers abroad) program and Fulbright Finland’s programs.
“Both the quality and quantity of applications was again very high. KAUTE’s strategic themes, supporting development through digitalisation and accelerating the sustainability transition were well represented in the applications from both technical and business studies,” says Tuomas Olkku, the Executive Director of KAUTE Foundation.
