Free virtual blog training for KAUTE’s grant recipients

We will organise a free virtual blog writing training in September – October. The free training will be held in English and is open to all KAUTE’s grant recipients.

The training will be arranged in two parts:

Blog training part 1

SEP 17TH AT 10–12 AM: TRAINING SESSION 1

In the first part of the training, you will learn the basics of popular writing for non-academic audiences. You will learn how to choose a topic and a point of view, how to structure your text, how to title your text, and how to use accessible language that is easy to understand.

Blog training part 2

WRITING EXERCISE (SEP 17TH – 26TH)

The best way to learn how to write is by writing! In the second part of the training, you will write a blog text about your research and get personal feedback on your text. In this part you get to try out the tips and tools that you learned in the first part of the training. You can write your text either in English or Finnish, and it needs to be submitted for feedback by Sep 26th at the latest.

OCT 12TH AT 10–12 AM: TRAINING SESSION 2

In this training session, we will discuss your texts and the feedback with examples and dive deeper into the themes of the last training to learn what makes a good blog text.

You can either sign up only for the first part, or for both parts of the training. For PART 1 we will take max. 25 participants, and for PART 2 max. 15 participants.

Both sessions will be arranged online via video conferencing tool Zoom. Trainings will be held by communications specialists from Kaskas Media.

Sign up for the training here by Sep the 3rd!
