KAUTE Foundation’s application period for grants is open from 1 to 31 January 2021. With grants, we help promising researchers in their scientific careers. Our goal is to promote economical, societal, and ecological renewal of Finnish businesses and society.

This spring, the following grants are open for application:

The grants may be awarded for different time periods: 6,000 euros (3 months), 12,000 euros (6 months) and 22,000 euros (12 months). For postdoc grants, we accept only applicants with no more than five years passed since their doctoral dissertation. Working grants can also be awarded for developing university education in economics or technical sciences.

2) Travel grants for research or study visits that last at least one month. The grants will not be awarded for conference visits. The grant is up to a maximum of 10,000 euros.

2) Grants for research and publication costs. The grant is not granted for Open Access publications. The grant is up to 5,000 euros.

Grants for research exchange can be applied later this spring through Tutkijat maailmalle program and Fulbright Finland.

Themes for the application period

From 2021 to 2023 our strategic themes are sustainable reconstruction, data-driven future and diversifying society. We welcome applications particularly from researchers whose work is related to one of the above themes.

Sustainable reconstruction means topics that help companies and society to change their operations into a more sustainable path. These can be for example, energy transition, circular economy, digitalisation, entrepreneurship and international cooperation.

Data-driven future means understanding and developing new technologies that are shaping our society. The topics can be related to, for example, big data, algorithms, artificial intelligence, machine learning, ethics of data or data-driven business models.

Diversifying society means promoting interdisciplinary and heterogeneous ways of approaching science, working life or society as a whole.
