KAUTE Foundation’s spring 2021 grants are published

There were 327 applications for the spring 2021 general grant period. The total amount of funding applied for was 5.2 million euros. The funding granted is about 10% of the total amount. The amount of funding applied for and granted both increased from the previous year.

13 grants were granted to the fields of business and 17 to the field of technology. Both applications and funding decisions showed topics related to the foundation’s strategic themes, such as sustainable technologies and business models, research on machine learning and artificial intelligence, and innovation and entrepreneurship from different perspectives.

“The quality of applications was again gratifyingly high. The research projects that have now received funding point the way to a bright and sustainable future for Finnish society and companies, which is the foundation’s long-term goal,” says Tuomas Olkku, the foundation’s representative.
