The Young Research Entrepreneur of the Year is a 5,000 euro award given annually by the KAUTE Foundation’s Academic Entrepreneurship Fund to a researcher who has developed a new research-based business. We are now seeking candidates for the award!
Nominations for the Young Researcher Entrepreneur of 2022 can be sent by all interested persons and communities. Nominations will be accepted until January 29, 2023, and the winner will be announced in early spring 2023. Submit your proposal here!
The Young Researcher Entrepreneur of the Year can be awarded to a person who
- is under the age of 40
- is a full-time entrepreneur
- has a new research-based business idea
- has a business in its start-up phase (less than five years of activity and a turnover of less than 10 million euros)
- employs at least one person in addition to the owner
The KAUTE Foundation has been awarding the Young Research Entrepreneur award for ten years now. Last year, the award was won by Kai Saksela, who founded NL Acoustics that manufactures acoustic cameras for locating faults in industrial manufacturing. The second prize was awarded to Windi Muziasari, Ph.D. in Biotechnology, who founded Resistomap to help prevent the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
