  • is a full-time entrepreneur
  • has a new research-based business idea
  • has a business in its start-up phase (less than five years of activity and a turnover of less than 10 million euros)
  • employs at least one person in addition to the owner

The KAUTE Foundation has been awarding the Young Research Entrepreneur award for ten years now. Last year, the award was won by Kai Saksela, who founded NL Acoustics that manufactures acoustic cameras for locating faults in industrial manufacturing. The second prize was awarded to Windi Muziasari, Ph.D. in Biotechnology, who founded Resistomap to help prevent the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
